鄭教練由2003年開始在香港國際松濤館空手道會學習空手道，現為黑帶五段資格。跟隨已故金澤弘和宗家所創立的國際松濤館空手道連盟之技術和哲學，再撮合多年到日本拜訪各流派學藝深造，包括已故井上派糸東流宗家井上慶身、日本空手女王若井敦子、沖繩劉衛流佐久本嗣男師範，以及與多位世界級運動員（宇佐美里香、喜友名諒、新馬場一世、安東尼奧•迪亞斯）深入交流所得。對各空手道流派及高水平競技訓練有一定程度的認知。

Chris was started to learn karate at the Shotokan Karatedo International Federation of Hong Kong (S.K.I.H.K.) since 2003, and now he owned black belt 5th dan qualification. He was following the techniques and philosophy of S.K.I.F. Soke Kanazawa Hirokazu. Chris also practised karate in various dojo in Japan, includes Soke Inoue Yoshimi, the Queen of Kata Atsuko Wakai, Ryurei-ryu Tsuguo Sakumoto. In-depth exchanges with world-class athletes (Rika Usami, Ryo Kiyuna, Issei Shimbaba, Antonio Diaz). He has certain degree of awareness of various karate style and high performance training.

鄭教練曾代表香港參加多個大型運動會，包括世沙運、四屆亞運會、東亞運、全運會，亦是香港爭取2020東京奧運資格的重點培訓運動員之一。出國經驗無數，世界排名曾一度高踞第五位，多個國際賽事更取得佳績，其中包括：

• 世界空手道超級聯賽分站 金牌
• 世界盃分站 銀牌
• 亞洲空手道錦標賽 銀牌
• 東亞空手道錦標賽 金牌
• 全國運動會 銀牌
• 全國空手道錦標賽 金牌

Chris has represented Hong Kong in multi sports games, including the World Beach Games, Asian Games, East Asian Games, and National Games. He also one of Hong Kong’s focusing athletes for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He had countless overseas experience, once ranked fifth in the WKF world ranking, and achieved excellent results in various international events, including:

• Gold  in WKF Karate-1 Premier League
• Silver in WKF Karate-1 World Cup
• Silver in AKF Asian Senior Championships
• Gold in EAKF East Asian Senior Championships
• Silver in National Games
• Gold in National Championships

鄭教練超過十年教學經驗，熱心教學、分享自身運動員經歷、積極推廣體育文化，無私將多年運動員生涯心得和技術分享他人。在香港本部道場任教練一職和佛山道場技術顧問，進行具科學化訓練和帶領道場學員參加本地賽事。自2016年起受聘於香港職業訓練局大專空手道隊總教練，於2018年更被香港大專體育協會任命為世界大學生錦標賽之隨隊教練一職。除此之外，鄭教練曾接受多個國家地區（超過29個）及本地空手道/體育組織邀請舉辦技術研討會。開設的網上空手道教室一直反應熱烈，受眾甚廣。當中更有國家級及區域級代表隊運動員，幫助他們在期後的國際賽事上屢獲佳績，包括世界空手道聯盟轄下之世界錦標賽冠軍、洲份錦標賽獎牌、世界空手道網上聯賽排名第一、地區錦標賽獎牌、全港空手道賽事獎牌等。

Chris has more than 10 years coaching experiences. He enthusiastically in coaching, selflessly shares his athletes experience and skills, and actively promotes sports culture. He served as a coach in the Hong Kong headquarters dojo and technical adviser of FuShan Dojo. At the same time, he has been employed as the University Sports Karatedo Team Head Coach in Vocational Training Council since 2016. In 2018, he was appointed as the team coach of the World University Championships by The University Sports Federation of Hong Kong, China Limited (U.S.F.H.K.). In addition, Chris has accepted invitations from many countries (more than 29), regions and local karate and sports organizations to hold technical seminars. He had large scale of audience, the online karate classroom has enthusiastic responses. Some are the national and regional team members, assist them to achieve multiple success in subsequent international competitions. Including the world championships, continental championships medals under the World Karate Federation, the World Karate E-Tournament League rank no.1, regional championships medals, Hong Kong annual tournament medals etc.
